I am talking about what I believe to be the unpaid results. Not
those at the top on a coloured abckground nor those on the right.

What makes you think the only paid-for results are those on a coloured
background etc? You should be more cynical. :-)

Another benefit of the Samsung:

o Several use Toners with just a bung to plug the filler
---- ML-1210 is one of those for certain

o You can simply undo the bung & pour in fresh toner
---- obviously you only want toner inside, not on carpet

Dorothy,

These Samsung printers (ML-1210, ML1510, ML1750, etc) come with a "starter"
or "demo" toner cartidge which have about one-third of the life of the
"real" cartridge.

For example, http://www.printerbase.co.uk/more_info.php?partref=2226

Can these original starter cartridges also be refilled or are they made
differently to the refillable "real" Samsung toner cartridges?

Wile it's not as asthetically pleasing, you could still melt a
hole in it (soldering iron, etc) and refill if the starter cart.
didn't have the cap.

Why bother? I have had my printer for several years, and have
replaced the original cartridge only once. They are not the
greedy hogs that ink-jets are.

They are specified as 1000 page (5% coverage) but one commentator said they
got "over 600" pages.

They can be refilled - have the plastic cap. At least my ones do. I suppose
they might change it one day.
