Anyone other than me than miss the old google groups....?

In the new system you have to click in each message to see the quoted
text. Makes it very difficult to follow a discussion....

In my opinion they have forgotten that it is a discussion arena. You
should be able to see what quoted text people response to at once!

(I dicovered it today when I tried to write out the whole freeware logo
voting / discussion thread - they made that very difficult and
time-consuming!)

When I try to get to "Google Groups 2 (beta)" preferences, I get a 404.

Yes, it used to be a lot easier to navigate.

It's been moved but can still be made to look like the 'old' GG.
Click onto title of message to view, when it appears it will have it's
own title. For example, [I did a search on this topic]:

"[OT] Google Groups Beta
All 3 messages in topic - view as tree"

"view as tree" is an underlined link. Clicking on that gives you the
old, easy to see list view.

Weird -- I don't see "view as tree" at all.
