"This forum" is a Microsoft public newsgroup, also known as a discussion
group or a Microsoft Community. Your post got here somehow from
no-mx.forums.net, which is probably where you posted it - and you probably
had no idea that it would be relayed via vBulletin USENET gateway to the
Microsoft news server. :>(
Forums like no-mx.forums.net simply "slurp" messages from the Microsoft
public server and relay them - and any responses - back and forth, often
resulting in messages that are delayed, out of sequence, or simply lost.
For example, we have no idea what you meant by "Your post contains..."
because we have no way to see whatever post you were referring to - and you
did not quote any of it.
If you would like to get help from this newsgroup, please cut out the
middleman and post your question directly to the Microsoft server. This is
peer-to-peer support; Microsoft employees do not check in here regularly.
But Microsoft hosts the newsgroup on their public news server, which is free
and does not require you to logon. Just click here:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.vista.hardware_devices
That one click should start your default newsreader (Outlook Express or
Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail or other), create a News Account on the MS
server, subscribe you to THIS newsgroup, download the 300 newest messages,
and display the latest post for you to read. In other words, it should
bring you right back here, but using a different interface. And your
posts - and any responses - should be available immediately, not filtered
through any other web location. Read some messages to "get the flavor" of
the place, and then post your own questions. Click Tools | Options to
customize the news reader in many ways to suit your own preferences.
