Thanks - that's really what I wanted - not personal preferences!
Just what one has experienced!
Haven't used it. Won't use it.

Hi Charliec-
Yeah, I know you wanted to know about NAV2009, but also check out
NIS2009.
Vicktek is correct, but if you have another Norton product NIS2009 will
uninstall it for you and a reboot will be required. No problem, though.

I just put NIS2009 on a desktop and found it much better than the
NIS2008, which I loaded last year to replace the slow, bulky and
frustrating NIS2007. Faster install than '08, much faster updates and a
bit faster scans. The file is much smaller than '08 and uses far less
resources. (NIS2008 brought an old Sempron XP laptop to its knees-had to
uninstall it and go with AVG 7.5 Free.)
I think the main panel is a bit fancy, but there's lots of choices to
tweak to your liking. I hate to sound pro-Norton, but if you want
Norton, NIS2009 is much better than their previous versions. The stores
are just about giving away the old NIS2008, but don't do it! There are
plenty of sales and rebates around for the new NIS2009. Check out
Frys.com.
You may be interested to know that the license keys that comes with previous
versions work with the 2009 versions. You can download the trial-ware 2009
product and then use a key from a 2008 product to register.

Are you being paid by Norton?

Hold on there, Tex.

The why is probably because he is using a Microsoft product similar to
yours. None of them seem to get it right, in the average users' hands.

His posted three times. Yours posts words in all capital letters, and on
the wrong end of the reply.

Please do not post upside-down. Thanks for your consideration.

I don't intentionally post more then once. This is some weirdness with my
newsreader. Unfortunately I'm not being paid by Norton to recommend the
product.
