I don't have the equipment to do this, but at any rate I have TV sound,
thanks. My problem now is that if I have tv on demand turned on, there
is a studder.

Have you defragged your hard drive recently?

I defragged and I still can't use tv on demand because of the constant
suttering.

This might be a clue but I don't know what it means:I have tv on demand
turned off. When I turn on the TV, it starts, then the sound stops the
screen goes blank and starts again, then it stops again, then it finally
kicks in. All in about 2 seconds. It didn't used to do that. It makes me
wonder if there is a hardware conflict going on, but when I look at the
items listed in the device manager, I don't see any yellow exclamation
points.

After a couple days of meditation, I realized that what I had done was
uninstalled everything, reinstalled with my outdated disk and then
reinstalled with up to date software. In other words, I installed the
newest software over the first reinstallation without uninstalling
again. So I uninstalled everything and reinstalled the newsest software
and that seems to be working fine. The studdering is gone and I have Tv

is mainly what I use tv on demand for.

Also, I meant to add, I don't know if it matters or not, but when I
uninstalled the ATI software and rebooted, Windows found new hardware
and wanted me to install from the ATI disk. Since my disk is out of
date, I pushed cancel and got a warning that my hardware might not work
properly. I figured that when I installed the ATI software from the net,
it would properly install the hardware. Once I installed the new
software, the warning went away.
