Of course, I can download an email software.
BUT, whey did not Microsoft include Windows Live Mail,
or some other email software as a default reader ?

I can't answer any questions about why Microsoft didn't include an
e-mail program, but personally I don't care at all, and I recommend to
others that they also don't care.

In fact, I think it's better that they didn't include an e-mail
program, since rather than pressing users to use the default program
that they get with Windows, they are left free to decide for
themselves which program is best for them. That's especially true when
several of the available choices are freeware.

Probably because thousands use Microsoft office or another mail program. No
need to install Windows Live Mail unless you need it. By the way, it's free
so no big deal.

Hey, I've read a little on that.
Apparently, Spain is a harborer of pirates for just such stupid clauses.
The lawyers of the music/movie industry simply need to show a profit is
made by the pirate illegally obtaining the material.
If you obtain a movie that retails for 20 bucks, by downloading it for
free, you made a profit.
I hope some lawyer reads this.
Spain sucks.
Bunch of gypsies live there, so its no wonder.

I don't like you. You always seem to be running your big mouth, you
always have your panties down, and you're always pi$$ing.

There is life for you without you pi$$ing all over the place -- get one.

No, I'm always right.
It just irks losers like you.

I tell my wife that I am always right. she then says I'm not going to get
laid. I then apologize.

Don't be surprised to see more and more free, included apps go away.
Even on the www, free is getting old.
Linux is selling software.

Linux doesn't sell anything. People sell Linux based OS's in some
places.

What sucks about it?
Its easy to use with multiple email accounts, hotmail ,newsgroups.
If its signing in to Live all the time, even that can be turned off.

As long as you don't mind having separate Inboxs, Drafts, and Sent
folders for every account and no way to merge them... yeah it works
with multiple accounts. If you have more than two or three accounts,
it's unusable.

T-bird, OTOH, let's you merge or not merge accounts as you see fit. MS
was too stupid, or too pig-headed, or both, to figure out that their
approach sucks.

As for newsgroups... get a real newsreader.

Slow for started. Obficated menus. Poor usenet support, but the cake
goes to IMAP support. It crapped out every 10 seconds with connection
nags. XP Outlook Express worked fine with tthem, as did Linux and the
Mac. Just Live Mail and Vista Mail had issues.

So I tried a bunch of clients and settled on Thunderbird, works great.

Free is no good if it doesn't work.

Who said it doesn't work? I am using it and quite a few others I know use
it without problems. Maybe Windows 7 is above your pay grade.

Stripping Win7 of some addons is due to Antrutrust lawsuit fiuled by
EuroUnion jerks who can't stand an idea of an American company (Microsoft)
jamming competition into the mud, just because they (Microsoft) are BEST in
the world. It is also due to some other artificial, politically-motivated
lawsuits against Microsoft, that Email, MovieMaker, etc have been stripped
off of the Operating System, OK?

Apple doesn't have nearly as much market share as MS, hence it was not
subject to such lawsuits... yet.

However the bottom line YOU CAN DOWNLOAD, and in fact it's fed down your
throat - all such utilities from MS website, especially their WindowsLive
section.
You get LiveMail, PhotoGallery, Movie, whatever... STOP complaining and get
new reality into your mind.
These thjings are now an optional download, rather than mandatory inclusion
as has been from Windws95 thru WinXp thru Vista.
All it takes is a few hours to download & setup.
You should complaion to EU government and thanks some pricks for these
lawsuits that now force you to download things instead get pre-packaged in
Operating System

The positive fact however, now you have a choice.
Windows7 is a lean, fast machine and if you prefer Thunderbird for email for
example, you can download it w/o bothering with WindowsLiveMail - leaving
you with MRE disk space and less cluttered filesystem, than would've been
should WIndows come with email, movie, and whatever else you desire.

It's now a dowloadable "Plus" feature, stop complaining.
Soetimes I feerl bad for Bill Gates to be a target of frivolous complaints.

I make a lot more than a Microsoft Vista Pusher, I can assure you of
that. Probably because I am more resiliant than most at computers...I
fix problems Microsoft can't.
