Golden said:Hello? Yes, HE DOES!
Just look at this thread for goodness sake. How many have called him a
troll? 5-6? And how many of those he responded to? Zilch! Zero! Nada!
Nix! A big fat "O"!
Yup, that's ignoring them all right! Not only that but it makes the lot
of them trolls.
There you go. At the very least you lot should take a leaf out of his
book and NOT RESPOND with pointless garbage!
I tried asking you lot nicely last time but here we go again. I'm fed
up with twits in a feeding frenzy like a pack of piranhas every time he
posts anything. They don't contribute anything but just lay in wait.
Whoopty-do. A clueless mob can throw insults at a guy who's ignoring
them. Wow! What an accomplishment. We are all in awe of you. NOT!
Doggedly attacking a defenseless guy knowing darn well he won't
respond. Boy, what a brave and clever bunch you are.
Enough already. Man!
Golden
posting ever from that ID. Which causes very easy speculation here about
the actual source.

numerous shell accounts with attached fake/shell email addresses. A
sure sign of that would be different IDs only used for one topic or one
forum.
However, I think by looking at its posting history, Golden (Lasky?)
isn't such a character
but for some reason identifies with Don
He has tried to make peace in the past.

As Joe said you won the moral victory by taking the high road so don't
spoil it all now. "
reading Roberts post I can see no reason for Don's attack.
Not that your messages add anything to the discussion. Anyhow, since
you decided to come up with the same message every second time someone
posts here, the question arises, what constitutes troll behavior.
Well, one symptom can be repeatedly sending the same message to a
newsgroup without actually saying something.

who only dares insult people he knows are not going to respond.
Either way he's just proven that, like the rest of his moronic buddies,
his IQ doesn't even reach room temperature.

Pedantry may be annoying but it's harmless.
Roger said:Not very diplomatic.
I think the real issue here is that the regulars on this group are
trying to take it back and assert that their norms are the norms of
the group, not those of Don. Multiple people saying the same thing
affirms this. If this were a regulated community, Don would have been
expelled/banished/exiled, but it's not, so this is the next best thing
we can do to preserve a sense of community here.
Henk said:The way Golden is insulting people in this newsgroup lately, makes him a

Scott said:I don't think either Don or Golden are trolls, just being hard to deal
with and insulting does not make them trolls, IMO.
Don can be a first class idiot from time to time but I don't think he
sets out to disrupt the new group.
I do think Don has a certain lack on integrity, but again this is not
really being a troll.

I would agree that Don can be more then a little annoying but the keyHenk said:Internet troll - From Wikipedia, the free encyclopaedia:
"A troll is someone who comes into an established community such as an
online discussion forum, and posts inflammatory, rude or offensive messages

Maybe not "designed intentionally" but Don is sure "annoying the existing
members or disrupt the flow of discussion" by repeatedly attacking Ed
Hamrick's VueScan.
Golden "posts inflammatory, rude or offensive messages". The number of times
he repeatedly called people on this newsgroup "morons"...
