New car

I like them - just hope they don't look too small without the pug being decked to the weeds!

15" with a 50 profile tyre are aparently the best for handling. It currently has 14" wheels with 60 profile tyres, but can go up to a max of 18" (show cars only, abysmal handling)

I will probably paint the brake calipers behind them red for that little extra bit of awesomness.

Yeah but do a good job of painting it, e.g. take your time.

Don't go painting the engine bay this time, not like your car is for show, brake calipers i can understand though.

Oh and get that electrician booked, i want to see the remote start awesomeness.

Yeah - i had the calipers on the XR painted if you remember, i still have the tin of paint.

Been advised against the alloys as they might look too small? Argh!! Can hardly afford the 17" versions at the mo either!

Electrician will have to wait - he will be £130 and i don't have that right now!

Yesterdays bill was £514 *Chris cries*
Sorry to hear that Chris, got my car service in 2 weeks, would be very happy if it came in at £500, but it will not:(

It came to that much because it needed a new water pump and engine mount in addition to the Cam Belt and Tensioner kit.

Why - what has yours got to have done?

I'm currently in the process of painting my brake calipers :D

My car needs a full service, MOT + one of the electric windows motor has packed up.
That coupled with what ever else they find wrong!

Having the Cam Belt & Tensioners done is a wise thing, a few year ago the cam belt failed on my Mrk III Escort.
Ended up having to scrap the car:(

Might work out a lot cheaper to do all the oil and filters yourself if you are handy with that kind of thing?

MOT should be only £44 for the test + what they find wrong, a retest should be free and an electric window motor shouldn't be too bad?
