Oh yeah...we gotta get those!

I'll bet this. TAP may get a few updated builds; Beta probably not; they're
slapping this puppy in a box and calling it Vista bringing in the bands, the
kegs and the tents on about October 25. What you got is essentially what's
going out there and lol "fit and finish" whatever the hell that's supposed
to mean is not going to produce any quality improvement to the major
components that do not work and never will.

When the improvements become a feature that allows people to turn off
Windows start up sounds if they're too dumb or lazy to go to the control
panel sound applet, that's getting into the desparately scraping for
non-substantive straws because we can't fix major features category.

So this "I wish I wish" it were on a torrent is wasted time.

LOL Lang--

What in the world substantive do you think Redmond is going to do with Vista
in the next 25 days?
About as much as Congress will do before the midterms. They're cosmically
linked. Both of them excerciseno quality control oversight and both of them
do little but want your money.

There are many groups getting access to Vista Beta builds, Technical Beta,
CPP, TAP, are just a few.

The existence of other builds means nothing more than other builds
exist...Which we already know anyways.
Many builds are never seen outside Microsoft.
Also, a higher build number means very little since the purpose of a build
may be so specific, overall performance may be poor and even irrelevant as
long as the specific purpose is met.

As for PT, I regard him about as much as any other rumour source such as the
National Enquirer.
His desire to be first seems to drive him with whatever he has to publish as
fact even though he often does not really have a source.

TechBeta will get at least one more build after 5728 before RTM.

Chad,

Well... they -do- fix stuff in new builds, even if it's stuff that worked in
old builds but got broken in a subsequent build. ;-D

I'm primarily interested in new drops that also have parallel new drops for
the WAIK because I want to see each new drop of the WAIK to see if WinPE 2.0
will support WinBatch exe's. See? lol. I'm friggin' Edward G. Robinson.

Shoot... everybody wants my money. The governement, the cell phone company,
the mortagage company, insurance companies (and don't even get me started on
that particularly exasperating fubar part of life...). The kids, the wife...
I could go on all night.

Chad,

5728 installed on my Dell XPS Gen 2 desktop when 5536 and 5600 would not.
Since there was only about a week between 5600 and 5728, I'm gonna D/L every
new build that's released because they -are- changing stuff. Of course, like
I said in my other reply in this thread, they may be breaking stuff too...
it's just the name of the game. No biggie, methinks.

As Far as I know, TAP Beta Tester's have an NDA, Just FYI. You just
Violated your NDA, Just FYI.

The fact that he disclosed a build number is hardly worth noting.
You seem to get off on NDAs and FYIs and TAPs ...

I am Not in the TAP Beta, Just FYI. Therefore, I have No NDA, Just FYI.
Keep in mind that there Is a Difference between the TAP Beta and the
Technical Beta, Just FYI.

Who made you the NDA police? Besides I doubt disclosing the presence or
lack of a particular build on the connect site is an NDA violation. Get off
it.
