If your spending that sort of money you would get better value from a 5770.

However for a few pounds more a 5850 would be a good buy especially as you could crossfire at a later date.

READ THE REVIEW ;)

:D

A few pounds more? The cards the guy has linked to are around £130.00 whereas the average price of a decently specced 5850 is £250.00.

Where the math?

On the subject of the 5850 & 5870 I personally think this is the first series of ATI cards for some time that warrants serious attention, they look good.

And what with Nvidia constantly re-making and re-badging their series I think, maybe, the tables may at last turn.

And I say that as somebody who has favoured Nvidia for the last seven years.

meh im gonna get http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/product/seo/859759 that coz pc world is around 15 mins from my house by foot so i dont have to wait for delivery as long as it is better than my nvidia 9600 gt i dont care :)

Anything over 40fps on gta 4 and over 60 on cod mw 2 is good enough for me :)

i would get a nvidia from there but its around £150 and i got some other things to pay out atm thanks for all your advice guys it was apreciated :)

hey again guys u must be getting sick of me lol

just one last question before i order my new card

this is the info for the 5770

Maximum power 108 Watts

Stream processing units 800

Memory TypeGDDR5

Memory Bandwidth (max)76.8GB/sec

Slot Dual

Engine Clock1.36MHz

Compute Power 850 teraFLOPS

Memory Data Rate 4.8Gbps

and this is the 4870

Maximum power 160 Watts

Stream processing units 800

Memory Type GDDR5

Memory Bandwidth (max)115GB/sec

SlotDualMemory 1GB

Engine Clock 750MHz

Which would be stronger for fps and overall performance ?

hey guys pc is all bought and built and runs like a beast :) thanks to everyone for the advice given basicly just requesting a lock now :)

If you mean would we lock your threads then it's forum policy not to lock threads unless it starts to get trolled, which is unlikely in your case.

Glad your machine is up and running well, good stuff :thumb:

I think you have to go for that computer which is according to your requirement and if you are working wihch business then you have to surely go for amd processor configuration's pc.

Explain that statement please.... It makes no sense at all.

If you which have amd olay olay biscuit barrel then business Arsenal 1 Tranmere Rovers 2 go for one which make metric thread.

Obvious innit? :)

I do believe this thread has reached the end of it's useful life.

The guy has a good machine working.

It's over.
