Before you and Austin get too far down the troubleshooting road, do step 2
at http://www.echosvoice.com/tshoot_video2.htm to shorten your path length.

Basically, place your PPT file and the sound files in a folder on your C:\
drive. Maybe in something like C:\test\

Reinsert the sound into the PPT file and see if it plays. (Make sure you're
in slide show view when you're testing to see if the sound plays.)

Okay. I think that Istarted to do what you said, and somehow I got the
internet song to sork. Now I can't even find the music file from the CD.

First of all, I just want to say that I really appriciate you doing
this. THANK YOU!!! As far as the humor goes, I think that it is
great that you have it and you are going to need it for what I am
about to put you through. Here is what is going on. I actually have
two problems, but they are baisically the same problem. One is with
a song from a CD and the other is with a song that I got from the net
and "saved target as". The both of them are saved as wav files, and
they play fine in Windows Media Player. The both of them are saved
under the My music folder. When I go to insert the songs in to the
presentations, I go to Insert, Sounds from file, and then I select
the sound of my choice. The speaker icon for the music comes up
normally, but when I go and click on it so that I can play the sound,
it does not play at all. This is not the first time that I am
putting outside music into a powerpoint presentation, but it is the
first time that I am having this problem. What in Sam Hill am I
doing wrong??? Once again, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
