I bought some cheap vinyl albums from my local vinyl dealers today, 9 albums, all £1 jobbies except 2. Amongst them were Gershwin's An American In Paris/Rhapsody In Blue and West Side Story OST. I never did like that stuff but the reasoning behind my cheapo purchases was that with my passing of years I might like that stuff now. I didn't, they still sound crap
The Gershwin recording (Pittsburgh Philharmonic with a pianist named Jesus) was very well recorded though, very hi-fidelity. From West Side Story I quite liked America and Tonight, but that was it. I was 10 years old when West Side Story hit the silver screen.
Of the others I'm liking The Sutherland Brothers and Quivers' Down To Earth. This is a band I missed out on first time around (apart from 'Arms Of Mary' of course) they are very good imo.
I love the Soundgarden album 'Black Hole Sun' came from but sorry to say I've never thought much of Frampton apart from the time he spent with the Herd. So, not for me, sorry Mr Quads.
