music decoding

After watching from high i will hazard a guess you live in Spain ???

quote..
Actually Spain is one of the few countries (if not the only one) that has a clear stand regarding P2P file sharing, that most countries should learn from... Spanish's legal system considers absolutely legal to share copyrighted material as long you don't profit from it.

but to be honest ..dip in your pocket and get a legit copy :)

Hi Rush,

First of all thanks, as you made me look for the full version of the "bravest face" lyrics.
What more can you say?

Sorry no Spain, but we have a similar law.

I confirm that I buy legit over 90% of the trime.
I do not try to decode for money reasons, it is just a technical challenge.

Hi Rush,

Easy indeed with Google, but this is not the fact to be considered.
I did not know that such lyrics esixted......and you made me aware.

I am a native. However I have direct first-hand knowledge of other places in the world.
Luckyly I know other languages. This is an advantage for deeper understanding.

And I guessed Eastern Europe, Middle East, India and Pakistan. Ooops :o

So Spain & Italy actually have some sensible laws on this issue then?

The UK & the USA could do well to take a nod from our EEC cousins.

In my lifetime I've spent a fortune on audio formats from vinyl, cassettes, cd's and now mp3 or m4a downloads.

And by exposing that music to audiences for most of that time I have probably, no, make that I have generated lots of sales for record companies.

I can't really finish the rest of what I was going to post here for fear of the RIAA or BPI coming down on the forum.

But, suffice to say, I honestly think I've earned a few rights ;)

Hi Floppybootstomp,

It would seem after all that here we do have some sensible laws.
At last in this field. I could quote silly ones but this is not the place.

We are discussing a complex matter and I agree on your viewpoint re generating sales for record companies.

I recently bought a new car radio & made sure it could read MP3 & WMA music formats.

Surely you can't condone that??? -

I agree the UK laws on no private copying (i.e. vinyl to tape, vinyl to CD, etc.), are senseless, but we're talking about people deliberately copying copyrighted material to share with other people, so that they don't have to buy it.
