Sometimes we get bogged down in what we are trying to do and can't think of
other things and why is great to have several people answering threads as we
can think of different things.
Still I am pretty good aren't I :)
Now if I could just get my head out of the door I'll treat myself to a beer.

Windows repair? No, how did I do that? I really don't think I should
Reinstall XP yet! Too much work! I'd rather go out and buy me a third party
software that will do the same thing if I can't get this thing to work.

Have we suggested using windows repair, save me looking through all the
thread again. May be worth it first just in case. If not I'd run with John's
re-install XP.

Hello there,

Yes,, I think I lost the plot some where!!

Microsoft will tell you no more than we have. As the re-instalation has failed
there is now just one thing to do....Reinstall Wondows XP, which will
mean

boot up with the xp disc in the cd drive, say yes to boot from cd when asked
and then follow the instructions for repair not install and when you come to
the prompts type in
Chkdsk /r
note space between k and /

I've got to go or I'd look it up in M/S site for you to get exact
instructions, as it's been ages since I last did it and can't remember the
whole of it :(

If you want to try out some other apps, there are some free trial downloads
available, see here for links

Don't install more than one at a time as they can interfere with each other.

Hi Sarah,

If you're still having some problems send me an email and we'll see if we
can track down the crash you're experiencing.
