Motorola E398 - is it good?

And this might sound "shallow" but i rate the looks of the K700i much more than the E398...Chris
Not at all, if you like something you buy it, not just because someone likes or dislikes it. You are perfectly justified in your selection, after all these things are a matter of personal preference. I am glad to know you are happy with the purchase :)

I never used a dealer really, i have always gone to T-Mobile direct - be it at www.t-mobile.co.uk or their shop down in Aldershot, like yesterday. I did try and push the guy for a deal but they had given me £50 already, so i was happy enough.

They did put the price of my plan up by £2 a month though, which sucks...and i can't use my minutes for WAP access any more. It's now £15.99 for 13 hours of calls off peak and 50 messages...

Mix It is good because it means i can't overspend my contracted allowance and find myself with a HUUGE bill... It's a contract, but I am in control. If i want to overspend, then i just top up like pay as you go. It's also good for if my phone gets nicked...

I have always had very good experiences with T-Mobile - though i'm not with them by choice. Where we live we can't get any network coverage with ANY other network, but with T-Mobile my phone registers consistent 100% signal strength.

All in all i'm pretty happy...

Chris

next time u get a new phone try using a local dealer i do think they give u good offers!!!
i know its a shame abt that line rantal going up

they were offering me the same deal at 18.99 for twelve months or 15.99 for 18 months i wasnt having ne of it from them

i prob rang them up around 5-10times and on one occasion check this they offered me that same line for £3.99 because i explaed to them i could get the same line for 99p a month.
but because my t-mobile number is so speical ie its a very very good number and it looks good i decided that id pay 3.99 a month and thats it from there! i think i got a good deal.

i was thinking of going onto mix it but they insisted ida had to have do that for 12 months once again i wasnt having ne of it, so i just stuck to 3.99 line rental 12.5hours free offpeak and 50sms a month.

thats interest Chris about your network coverage where i live t-mobile has always had a bad name for coverage most of the time but mine seems to be alrite though.
all my mates are on t-mobile so far ive been v happy with their service aswell.

The dude at the local branch told me that you can slap "Mix It" onto any of their price plans...

yes u can

but i think u have to do this for 12 months
or theres something like that

i think it also mite have been i wanted to do normal line rental for 3 months and then mix it for the last 9 months this they were not happy about and woulndt let me do it!

the real ultimate thing i wanted to do was go down the pay as you go with the same number, t-mobile dont do this nemore. so the way around this is to close your contract. then contact another network give them your PUK code and they would put you onto their pay as you go. then do this for a month
then after a month contact t-mobile and they will put you onto their pay as you go.

i think this sounds crazy and LONG so i decided that id just pay 3.99 a month and here i am today!
gosh my hands are hurting now...............
:)

Heya guys. Can i just say that i have had the Sony Ericsson for quite a while now and it is an AMAZING phone by far !!!

The best out there ... the picture quality is the best availble clear vivid pictures. The camera light is VERY bright ! hehe

265K screen colours ... very few out there have this. Very clear screen menu etc.

This phone has all the features that you could need !!! Bluetooth etc etc

Looks REALLY cool walking down the street and showing it off hehe sliding round the keypad when bored ! :D

The radio is surprisinly good and clear for a mobile as i was a bit hesitant of radios on phones at first.

The menu is realy easy to read an use.

Also has a neat little switch on the side to lock the phone !

Fit ALOT on a text lol

Fit pictures to your contacts etc etc :) EVERYTHING !

My price plan atm is contract and 1/2 price line rental for 6 months. 1/2 price txts etc. It's something like £25 a month fixed. I txt ALOT so i average around £40 on my phone bill per month lol but last month i accidently got £90 hehe :) That's nothing to what my friend gets !!! He has got £473 before in ONE month ! haha and his mum don't care ! He usually gets around £150 mark nowadays :P lol

Basically this phone is GREAT ! REALLY REALLY advise if you can to get it !

Hope this helped ! :P
