WHY PEOPLE WHO DISAGREE WITH YOU AND TAKE UNPOPULAR STANDS ON ISSUES ARE
AN ANNOYANCE TELL ME YOU ARE A BIG BIGGOT

I appreciate Burt's response and the thoughts in one or two others, but
what is it about this group that brings out so much raving, as though
our lives hung on every bit of nuanced crapola about whether ink is OEM
or not???? There is an old Marxist maxim about people being reified
into the slogans of capitalism, but to be reified into an ink tank is
quite puzzling to me. But I guess that is where SOME PEOPLE deserve to
be.

Ron - other than the obnoxious Troll and the people trying to counter his
misinformation, this newsgroup is a great place for questions to be answered
about printer problems. Virtually all of the problems you see here have
their origin in his non-stop attacks on anyone sharing information about the
aftermarket inks they have used. There are several experienced and
knowledgeable people who give of their time to help those with problems. I,
for one, would like to see Measekite stick to the areas in which he has real
knowledge, gained with his own experience, and share that knowledge with us.
Unfortunately, he has some ill-founded biases that fuel his rants, and he
also appears to enjoy irritating everyone he can. As has been mentioned
before in several messages, if he lost his anonymity and confronted anyone
face-to-face with the same attitude he displays here he would end up with
his facial features rearranged!

The offical credit probally should go to rjwaldren who was able to
translate key bits of info from deutch... I can take some credit for
stumbling though and finding some bits of info my self. As I never
actually wrote anything on resetting the waste bin beyond a few lines,
nor was this something i've looked for yet Snailz or Martin can take
credit for this. I imagine it's possible I might have wrote a blip on
the subject earlier... but I can't remember if I actually did and if I
did it was a result of help from rjwaldren on steve's forums... and
others likely pulled that useful info from posts from my self or from
knightcrawler's website.

But any info on the 750/760/780... that was a get the cd-printing
feature enabled quest that started on steve's forums.

Heh... well we could give credit to all and sundry... it was definitely
a team effort, albeit slapdash and chaotic :) Couldn't have done it
without any of them.

I just figured it was worth noting that the reset instructions in full
were there.

I think what you are seeing is a responses to one particular poster who
supplies considerable amounts of bogus "information", which gets picked
up by novice members here, and sends them down the wrong path.

As a result, some people here feel obliged to correct the maliciously
posted mis-information, and they become zealous in their debunking.

This particular poster brings out the worst in people. My answer was to
kill file his posts so I rarely see anything from him unless it is
quoted by others.

I still suggest everyone just killfile this individual so when he
becomes bored with responding to his own mail, he might move on.

THE PARTICULAR POSTER PROBABLY KNOWS WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT. JUST
BECAUSE THE GUY OR GAL IS AFTER CHURCH THAT DOES NOT MEAN HE IS NOT HELPFUL.
