Maximum Returned by 1Pc in One Day

New Record!

New points record yesterday! - 7649 points/ 14 results on my X2 PC

Must admit, the peaks and troughs under boinc seem to have reduced somewhat lately - I believe this maybe due to many more using it over at WCG now, therefore the validations are becoming quicker.

Also I am seeing bigger differences between boinc credit claimed, and credit granted. This may be due to an increase in somewhat slower machines going over to boinc, which means the validated quorum average would be lower - not great for a high spec PC, you need the other 3 PC's to be fast as well to get maximum credit :(

Set by my single machine, admittedly it is a bit of a beast but there we go! :p

Let's see how long this record lasts ...

Being a hypochondriac is a very big drain on oneself, just enjoy crunching! :D

my best has been 3,000 ,once !!

Does a dual processor really improve the total that much or have you tweaked m8 ? ;)

Right so Chelsea was running Boinc :thumb:
Yep, its the only way to utilise both cores and run two work units at once :thumb:

However Boinc, especially when 'tweaked' also gives better results for most CPU's dual core or not ;)

... and another "tweak" is ... don't tell the other teams, like Bitbenders. :p

;)

IMO, BOINC is the only way to go with faster CPU's.

Tweaked of course. ;)

Very true VR - but not just the fast ones - I've just converted my 1.7Ghz Pentium M Lappy and an Athlon XP 2000+ Desktop to tweaked boinc, and they are both crunching around twice the amount of WU's a day with big increases in points :thumb:

Agreed, but the faster the cpu the bigger the difference is.

I got tweaked BOINC running on a 700ish mhz pc, i am keeping a close eye on it too see how big the difference is, But so far it seems to be much the same as the UD agent. But time will tell. :)

True VR - there must come a point when it doesn't make a difference - will be interesting to see with your 700ish Mhz CPU :thumb:
