I have previously used the already mentioned SuperFormat with good
results. However, when I try it now under XP it fails to run. It used to
work though, probably under 2K.

That problem has been discussed in ACF. The 2005 PL description has
notes. See:

"NOTES: SuperFormat runs in a DOS box. Users report that SuperFormat
does not format disks properly in Win 2000/ XP. (Previously formatted
disks can be used in these OS.)"

v 2.7 and v 2.8 are both included on the PL2005 CD. The files can also

You'd think a 2 foot wide disc would store more, but back in the 1950s
when they were first made they stored just 100k each.
