No doubt. I happen to own one of those "$40,000+ BMWs", and yet I have
no Dull laptop and have a collection of 10 or so Macs. : )

Have to agree with Jolly roger on this one. You get what you pay for

"The highest-paid boss of the 500 companies we tracked: Apple (nasdaq:
AAPL - news - people ) chief Steve Jobs. He drew a nominal $1 salary
but realized $647 million from vested restricted stock last year."

Rest assured that if he didn't leech you, he would never get that kind
of money.

I have a 6½ years old PC that I paid 500$ and it has *always* been
working perfectly. I just hope it gives up soon...

Thanks everyone for your input,

I have checked out the prices and indeed, the Macs are quite expensive.
The wife and I went looking yesterday and looks like she wants a PC
Notebook. She doesn't want to be hassled with a dual boot system. She
also needs Corel based apps in addition to Microsoft Office.

Cheers,

My secretary just got a lenovo notebook. They were 25% off until early
last week :( They are the Windows notebooks of choice in my office and
have proved to be relatively reliable and reasonably easy to use.
