Windows 10 Live from Microsoft’s Windows 10 event

well, I did say Win9 was an 'update' not an upgrade. :)

I think 9 imploded so they skipped that and jumped to 10

And ten just rolls off the tongue a lot easier wouldn't you say darling? ;)

They do keep crowing on about their mobile market when they have the lowest share of that market and make it quite clear Win 8 was designed for mobile devices. That's what cheesed off all us desktop users.

If they'd had any sense they would have slapped two different GUI's on Win 8 - mobile and desktop - then maybe they wouldn't have attracted so much criticism.

Good idea n'est ce pas? Perhaps they should have given Ballmer's job to me :D

6PM GMT from what I understand - so not long now :D.

I've only just gone to Win7!
I think my next O/S might be Linux as i've paid much to much to Bill & MS over the years!!

The link is live already, I'm downloading it now :).

Just coming to say the same Ian. I doubt I'll have time to play tonight. Let us know what you think. :)

Also, Make a Win 10 section happen please? :)

Have downloaded the 4.7Mb 'Upgrade' (presumably a link) will load Win 7 onto an empty hard disk and try it with that.

Not sure what happens here? Will it change my existing install of Win 7 or install Win 10 as a virtual OS within Win 7?

I'm curious to see what it's like, cynicism and all ;), but I don't want to hose what I have atm.

Does anybody know?

On the preview.windows page if you click on enterprise version that will take you to a download for the enterprise version which is a full iso rather than the upgrade that you get by clicking on Get Started
