no floppy mine boot right from the cd and installed in 20 minutes or so.
they recommend at least a 3 gig hard drive.can't help you as far as floppy
haven't used floppy in months.everything goes either on cd or usb flash
drive.

I had someone to download Linspire using the directions in this
group. The download worked fine, but at 90% install, I got the
error message: "error 219 error running jiffyboot".

I'm trying to install it on a computer with three harddrives. On
the boot drive is Windows98 SE, and on another drive Mandrake 9.2.
I want to let Linspire take over the third drive. The boot loader
is LILO set to default to Mandrake.

Anyone know where I can post a question asking how to get Linspire
installed?

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I figure Linspire's bootloader
Jiffyboot just doesn't like LILO, but maybe there's some fix that
would let me get Linspire installed.

What a nice OS that linspire is.
I had an old celeron 600 and thought what the hell
will try linspire .Well put the cd in and 20 minutes later i was already
online with linspire.so easy to setup.it recognized everything on my puter
even a sound card that window wouldn't.
For anyone who don't want spend the money to go to Win XP try
linspire.Perfect for internet browsing, and email and more.

Linspire is a distro of Linux. Linux is the OS.

through the learning curve on a new OS. Odds are, when this free cd
expires, I'm going to stay with Linspire.

So, the "FREE" CD will expire? Something like Mission Impossible?
Will it blow your computer to pieces?
You have to be careful

Who cares about this Damn Ridiculous Distro.

To all of you. Get Mandrake, Knoppix or SUSE Live. All for free. Really
free. All better.

Or if you want to a buy Linux Distribution. Get SUSE Personal. One Time
payment. Not this greed Membership.
