The Stovalls

Lindows has been forced by the almighty Microsoft to change their name. Thet
are now Linspire. To help promote the new name, they are giving away (for a
limited time) a bit torrent download of the iso image of their product! You
must register, but the software usually sells for $49.95. Go to this page to
start the process:

Be sure to hit the "apply coupon" button & enter "Lindows" & it will give
you the $49.95 credit. Now all you need to do is finish the process & begin
the torrent download. This is a great opportunity to learn Linux in a very
user friendly environment. Hardcore linux users will probably be put off by
the eye candy, but make no mistake, this is a very powerful os!!!! Enjoy!

Didn't work for me...said the coupon wasn't valid for what I was wanting to
obtain.

You have to use "lindows" as a password after you pushed the "apply
coupon" option.

That doesn't work for me: I get (in red) "Coupon LINDOWS is not
intended for the product/service you are trying to apply it to."

(I've tried "lindows" and "Lindows", in case it's case-sensitive; same
response each time. Maybe it's a US-only deal.)

NO, not a US only deal. I live in the US. Could be the offer is over with,
i.e. S.O.L. (now) for the rest of us. <G>

Worth keeping an eye out for another round of offers, though. (I
wonder if they'll stick an older version on a cover DVD eventually.)

No, I found it on a German site ...

and it worked for me (Even though the download is slow
and still ongoing, 60% done in two hours with DSL).

The Password is "lindows" (small "L")
And you don't have to use that "torrent download" there is an option
for http and ftp, too.

I downloaded the Developer Edition of Lindows 4.3 when the offer was on for
that some time ago....... is this what this is? (I can't seem to get to the
site as it's giving errors all over the place, and the link provided,
doesn't show an option to enter the coupon code when clicking "Apply
coupon").
