And in Fallout 3 I've just got my Power Armour, things are starting to look interesting now :)

Be sure to explore as much of the map as possible, as there are some great missions hidden away :) I rushed through the game the first time and finished it in no time, the 2nd time took several times longer and it was much more entertaining.

lol, i grabbed it off steam for £30 on Saturday. The steam prices are silly tbh, it should be cheaper as your not getting a box or anything!

Still not played it though! bloody MW2 keeps attracting me....

Yeah, it's stupid isn't it! More expensive for a digital version  Wanted to buy a CD the other day, and as I listen to them all as MP3s anyway I thought I may as well buy it digitally. It cost £8 to buy it via iTunes, or for £7 I could get a hard copy and delivery from amazon. Crazy!

I'm playing L4D2 now too, lol.....keep getting murdered...not sure what the other players think of me though....there problem, innit mate.
Can someone explain how i downloaded a free demo and next thing i'm playing online(xbox live)??

Well, I figure I'm much the same as you, first time playing I just want to reach the end quickly as possible cos I know with this game, just like Oblivion, it can be revisited for a completely different - and longer - experience.

Right now I'm up to the bit where you enter an underground community populated solely by children, quite odd.

And the main reason for posting, I've just played the L4D2 demo.

Conclusions?

It's different from L4D1. I wouldn't say it's any better, it's just slightly different. Graphics, menu, zombies, everythings been changed just a little bit.

So, summing up, and I hate to sound cynical, but as L4D1 was so popular I think the first game engine has been altered purely as a means to cash in. You certainly ain't getting anything radically new in L4D2.

Having said that, I'll probably buy it eventually, cos it is really good, but not just yet.

I'm a bit on games overload atm, I need to finish a few, lol.

I mean, I'm still playing F.E.A.R. 2, spent 90 minutes or so playing that tonight, and it's good, very enjoyable.

Noticing more and more games have preset save points, Batman, FEAR 2, GTA_IV and others. I don't like that much, I like to be able to leave a game and come back to it at a point of my choosing. Not a major gripe, but a gripe all the same.

I know what you mean about the pre-save points - I'm not keen on them either! I'll sometimes play a game for 10-15 mins, so having to get to the next checkpoint is a pain. Thankfully L4D doesn't have that problem :D

L4D2 is quite similar, but the changes are almost all improvements IMO. If you've got plenty of games to work though then just pick it up cheap once it inevitably get's reduced on a Steam special offer :) L4D1 still has plenty of life in it, as some of the 3rd party maps are just as good as the 5 official ones  .
