Keep the office assistant

Can anyone help me fix a problem with 2003 Office word? Everytime I try to
change assistant I get a message "not enough memory". I went on line and
downloaded cmd.exe and installed but still no change.
Thank you for your help
 
I would love to get hold of the old Shakespeare Office Assistant, from about
5 generations of Office ago.
