Obviously David thinks he can do something else. It's not like this
is some "free service" provided by MS out of their magnanimity. With
over 400% markup on their wholey OS, MS consumers have bought and
paid for this numerous times over.

How hard is it really to keep a newsgroup up and running on the net?
Is this an example of how MS's services will run under the banner of
"Trustworthy Computing?"

Only you could try and relate a problem with a newsgroup server with the
cost of XP and trustworthy computing.
Your psychotic.

Maybe you should subscribe to an internet service without such high charges
then? Or just don't bother posting until the problems are all resolved? I
know it's really annoying, but without knowing the nature of the technical
problem, 5 days could easily be the shortest time it takes to fix! Maybe
they've had to order parts that are out of supply? Who knows..... Constant
moaning about it certainly isn't improving the issue, and could even hurt
the good standing you have in these groups....

Many of us are starting to see Kurttrail's point.
If there are "reasons" behind this NG server problem, we are sill waiting to
hear what they are. Synchronization problems were only a valid explanation
for the first 24 hours. It is a week now, with no improvement.

Greetings --

Perhaps you should ask your own ISP. All this while that people
have been complaining, I have not noticed a single problem with any of
the Microsoft public news groups that I frequent.

And nothing justifies Kurttrail's constant advocacy of lying and
stealing. How can someone else's practices possibly justify one's own
integrity, or lack thereof.

I waited paitently for 5 days. If my computer ever tries to pull this
stuff I yank the power cord out of the wall. I can't do that to the MS
servers.

And my main concern is the theft of my time.

Something that is given away can not be stolen. If it's taking to
long..LOG OFF. Nobody is making you stay online. There is no requirement
that you read the newsgroups. Youd choose to spend the time here. You are
not paying to access the MS servers. You have no reason to bitch. MS is
under no obligation to provide them and offers no gaurantees.

That's because you don't use MS's servers to read these groups.
According to your posts header info you post thru supernews, not thru
the msnews servers. Do you really think you could get that by with no
one noticing?

Since you block all my messages to this group, how could you possibly
know anything about my "advocacy" of 'fair use' and debunking the FUD of
MS and people like you?

I'm still waiting for you to come up with a US copyright law that
prohibits an individual from installing software on more than one
computer? It's your "constant advocacy of lying and stealing" by MS on
consumers that is lacking in integrity, Bruce.

Thanks, David. Hadn't seen it. I've haven't read much of the group
since the servers started going nuts.

Looks like your assault worked, though the death threats seemed a bit
over the top to me.
