Is XP more gooder than Mac OS X for photo editing?

Yeah, the penguin would be great if it provided support for my printers,
scanners, and specialty software. It doesn't. It's not yet a viable desktop
platform for many, many of us who are trapped in other platforms.

Although, the new Mac OSX system is seriously nice. Damn shame about the
premium prices for hardare, though.

I'll have to check into it.

Since my mother upgraded a few months ago from Windows to Linux, she's been
working with GIMP and trying to apply all her Photoshop knowledge.
However, there are a few different things that she has issues with. I'll
forward this to her as well.

manual.gimp.org comes up 404. :(

There *is* some useful stuff that I can sift through though, so all may
not be lost. Thanks for the link.
