No, my superb intelligence and uncommon acumen make me other than one.

When you use blasphemy to make a point to another person, you not only
degrade the other person, but you also degrade yourself, but hey a
person of superb intelligence such as yourself already knew that.

You may protest that you aren't, but your actions reveal the truth.

An intelligent person has choices, remove blasphemy from your vocabulary
and treat others with respect, and you'll be judged for the person that
you are, or continue on and prove that you aren't what you say you are.

Has anyone tried setting this up under Win2k?

Same as setting it up under any other OS.

IIRC the 1.2.0 install file at the site is 1 byte short, which throws up
an error msg in XP. (Dunno about 2k). 98SE doesn't care.

It is a self extracting archive so extract it to some folder or other
and run it as a standalone.
Or - so I am told by techies - you can add a byte to it somehow or other
and run it as an install file.
When I did it on XP I just unzipped it.

There is a site somewhere that has a non corrupted file. I could dig it
out for you if you wish. Easiest is to just unzip this one and run it.

Using NFilter with FA, your only real filtering option is to drop posts
on the server.
But if that is what you want... :-)

Assuming, of course, that I knew about Hamster...

A single post in the Agent/Free Agent newsgroup saying "How
do I killfile certain posters/subjects in Free Agent ?" would have
elicited that information.

Some people here however would rather make ten posts
complaining about something than one post to get a solution.

Regards, John.

And where would I find that newsgroup?

(I don't see any "alt.software.forte.*" or "alt.software.agent.*"
newsgroups on my feed...)

Making one post to get a solution assumes that others are willing to
provide said solution. So far, all I've seen you do is make snide
remarks. (Susan Bugher, OTOH, has been quite helpful; thank you, Ms.
Bugher.)

Ironic that someone who apparently believes this is the way adults
communicate with each other would call someone else a fool.

< snip >

There are plenty of people in the Agent/Free Agent newsgroup who are
willing to help. There are also people in the Hamster newsgroup
willing to help. But you found it easier to complain than put in even
the minimum effort. Right ?

A simple Google newsgroup search would have found both lots of
newsgroups. A web search would also probably have provided a solution.
As for me. My Hamster page at ;

http://clients.net2000.com.au/~johnf/hamster2.htm

has helped some people.

Regards, John.
