I am in the cpp and I have valid key which I have only used once so far but
MSFT never sent me an email with link

It would have been Microsoft that sent the mail, but as Beck explained
it was only sent to a selected few.

No, I only tryed that once and that was the last time. Otherwise I try a
clean install both through windows and with the boot up feature on the disc.
But what is wierd is, when it boots off the disk it goes to copying system
files and doesnt even copy the files. Goes 100% immediatly then goes to
expanding files and waits at 0% for 5 minutes then it goes blue screen. If I
try to install through XP (to a separate drive by the way) it copys system
files and then goes to expand the files and gets to 26% then restarts only to
blue screen me when the install starts up again. It isnt always at the same
time but more than less at the same point if all that makes sense.

You mention the 26% mark. That may be a symptom of your SATA drive
controller needing drivers loaded. Do you have (a) SATA hard drive(s) and
if so, are you loading the drivers from the screen that asks you about a
standard or custom installation?

What did they base their selection on?.

I have 2 drives. I have a SATA that XP is on and I have a IDE that im trying
to put vista on. I am doing custom setup so I can install to the IDE drive.
But I also just tryed doing the upgrade from 5384.

Beck,
MS sent out emails to those who already had a key and in the CPP. The
link was just leaked and posted here.
dotcom
I have a key I am in the CPP.

I didnt get any email. However I was able top download it in time :)

Well I just extracted the iso to a file and tryed installing that way. Same
messege saying "Memory managment"

It installs and runs fine without a Product Key.
If no key is entered, you get a choice of which version to install,
Ultimate, Starter etc.Since it can not be activated without a key, it will
cease to work in about 14 days.
