Asking for predictions?
How about this one,
Got any predictions on what the quarterly/annual results to be
released shortly will be?

Since you believe Intel's crashing and burning, and AMD is laughing
all the way to the bank, it should be fairly easy...

You know, I asked for solid predictions, including numbers market share
and other relevant facts. All you can do is FUD...

Why water compaines?

Huge electricity consumption for pumping water. Hence special terms are
negotiated with electricity companies.

Have you read the review on the new
"Extreme?" The only thing extreme about this chip is how extreme the
heat gets.

May I disagree with you on that? The price tag is probably way more
extreme than the heat.

But that applies to many large industrial operations, e.g. all pipelines as
well as large manufacturing plants... though many large industries generate
their own if they can, e.g. petroleum.

Possibly. Maybe water companies concentrate on delivering clean water to
their pipelines, these may cover thousands if miles in e.g. a large city or
countryside with gradients. Gravity not always in downstream direction, hence
lots of electricity required.

Good thing. Intel had a monopoly on the market for a looooooong time. It's
time for someone else to shine. My Opterons run great and I would not trade
them for anything Intel makes at the moment.

Well, all I can say is my Stock portfolio is based on what I believe.
For true specifics, you'll do what eveyone else does; pay for it.
Sorry about that; do your own homework

I got a chuckle from that too until I realized that
"downstream" in this context probably was probably intended to
mean "away from the plant".

Oops, old habits. The water wouldn't know the difference between being pushed
due to gravity or due to pump pressure. Hence by 'downstream' I just meant
'forward' direction. You people also use technical terms in computing that
are taken from the material world.

Oh it's a certainty - no "possibly" about it. All that gas you Euros have
been worrying about this past week needs gobs of power to "push" it - same
here in the N.A. which is criss-crossed with 10s (maybe 100s) of thousands
of miles of liquid and gas pipelines. As another example, I was just
reading last week that with their new full-scale wind tunnel, one of the F1
teams has to call the power company to make arrangements for it to be
powered up.
