lighten up , know what I mean !

Hi ...
No I was trying to install it on a spare hard drive I have , and today I
managed it !, but unfortunately vista will not me to load the adls modem
drivers on so I can`t try to get on line with it .
I have looked on the net but there doesn`t seem to be any drivers available
for the sagem 800 at the moment that will run ok with vista .
I have to say that vista does look very nice indeed, and I hope to be able
to run it properly next year ,assuming the drivers become available to run
the printer/modem/scanner etc !!!
MANY THANKS paula for your help and patience ,its nice to know that there
ARE some nice people out there including you lang and the others who tried to
help me with this as well !!
Regards
Rob

Robbie,

Guess you don't have a router, eh? Just the modem into the PC, right?
Hmmm... from where are you getting the drivers? Original install CD for
modem? Works in XP, I'm guessing? What kind of errors are you getting when
you try to install the modem drivers?

Lang

Hi Lang ...

No router mate , just an external adsl modem , its the Sagem 800 and I have
the original disc with the drivers on it , and yes it works fine with XP, but
I can`t install the drivers in Vista , it says a problem occured and the
drivers are not loaded for this device .....
Also it wouldn`t accept the drivers for my scanner ,Epson 1670 . again
original drivers , works fine in XP , but not in Vista .

I`ll continue to look for drivers that might work with Vista as I would like
to use it on line ....

Regards
Rob

Well, I have to stand down on this one... don't have an ADSL modem... got
fiber to the house... a CAT 5 connection in the phone jack straight to the
router.

If you -had- a router, would drivers for the modem still be an issue? Don't
have a clue, just asking...
