Hehe. Just found out about this place, myself. It's where I'm gonna
be getting my next monitor from (unless I find a better price).
They've got some pretty competitive prices for retail!
Monitors. Components in general. I've lately been helping some
friends out as well as my kids with getting their systems up to a
happier level, with a lot of success
Now that leaves me short of a few things. I've only one 17" LCD monitor
left, one AGP8X vid card left, and no AGP8X mobo left That's why I'm
looking for another 9800 Pro 256.
I have 4 CRT's sitting on the floor in the LR and a few boxes that will
be useable with ug's and tinkering. I have a big green RubberMaid tub
full of pc cards of all kinds. Mostly older stuff but some useful PCI
sound, vid, LAN type things and a few AGP cards. None of it is cutting
edge stuff, but usable.
Anyway, getting ready for HL2 I'm looking for a few nice things for my
own self , this time!
All these leftover parts are what I get for taking on being the Family
IT guy a bunch of years ago.
It's hard to beat the image quality on these newer and releatively
inexpensive TFT displays. Less than $400 for a new 17", and it's very
easy on the eyes.
Some of these stores we both go to, I'm sure we have seen each other
through the years, just didn't know it of course. Hoang is good at
getting brand new released stuff nobody else has. Special ram, mobos,
video and special request item. The other stores are into buying
'stock' stuff. That sells quickly. I take some dosh to Hoang, tell him
what I need, where I've seen or heard of it, he smiles and says "I'll
find it, and let you know in a couple days what I want for it". Cool!
Well, me...I'm ready to 'play' again, so will be putting back and
spending for system changes for self now )
I want a PLASMA display now But $$ is the drawback....
