IE only displays secure sites...

I am running WinXP HE SP2, IE 6 SP2, & PC-cillin on a computer that is about
a month old. I am using a dial-up internet connection.

My problem is that IE will only display secure sites (https://) and not
non-secure sites (http://). This is only true on my wife's profile. My
profile works fine. Her profile didn't have any problems until about two
days ago. I can't think of anything we have changed since then.

Anytime we try to access a non-secure site we get the "Page cannot be
displayed" error. Again, this only happens on one of the two profiles. Both
are set as administrator.

I read another post that said I could try creating another user profile and
delete the one that's not working. If that is my only option, how do I do
that and not lose this preferences, etc., from that profile?

I'd appreciate any help you can give.

I created a new profile and copied the data over. It solved the problem, but
only for about three weeks. Once again, only secure sites can be displayed
on my wife's profile. Again, mine is fine.

Obviously I don't want to create a new profile for her everytime it happens.
Any thoughts?
