I have internet connection sharing set up with a Windows
2000 machine as the host and 3 Windows 98SE machines as
clients. The connection works perfectly for web browsing
and email, file sharing, and printing. HOWEVER, I cannot
access secure (https://) sites from any of the clients. I
get the standard message that the "page cannot be
displayed". I DO have IE with 128 bit encryption
installed, etc. In fact I can view secure pages with
these client computers if I connect directly to the
internet with them (via dial up connections). So the
problem isn't with the client computers not set up to view
secure sites. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere?
Has anyone else run into this problem? I cannot find any
information about this on Microsoft's web site or on the
entire web for that matter. It is very puzzling.
Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.
