No, it won't boot. I haven't tried DOS. No memory added in five
years though it's possible it went bad.
Some of the K6 mbrds had weakish VRs for the CPU supply. If you Google on
it there were some guys who had the VR go flakey after a couple of
weeks/months of switching from a K6-2 to a K6-2+ or K6-III - just couldn't
handle the extra current. I don't recall the symptoms but some had success
with upgraded VRs - ISTR 12A -> 14/15A.
I had an Epox MVP3 with a K6-2/300 go bad a while back - it would start up
to DOS but Windows Startup would either hang or reboot. I tried Memtest86+
on it and it gave a few errors and then just died completely and wouldn't
even POST after that. I didn't pursue it any further.
There's also the possibility of bad caps of course, which are easy to spot.
