I have no AOL software on my pc though they do provide my broadband . I use a Linskys router and a BT modem to conect . Only time I see any AOL stuff on my pc is when I surf to their e-mail page to check up and see if I have won any competitions .

i'm on plusnet, £22 a month for up to 8Mb, i'm getting about 5.5 which is cool, only had one outage and that was from BT arsing about at the exchange while upgrading it

overall the service is pretty good, they do have traffic shaping in force between 4pm and midnight with a 20GB cap which can be annoying but outside of those hours you can download as much as you want

I'm with Batelco

Very very low speeds (Max 2MBps) , very high prices

Cheapest
~33 pounds for 256mb and 2gb monthly limit :(

Expensive
~100 pounds for 2mbps and 20gb monthly limit

the problem is that this is the only ISP in my country so you just goto live with this speed and these heartstopping limit

Virgin [NTL] I pay £31.00 PM > Telephone> 4Mb cable pay for 2Mb [and it does what it says on the tin] > V+Box 80 Hrs recording and it is brilliant like lightning fast:D Tip if your not happy with Virgin Phone them and say so Don`t threaten to go elsewhere phone the number and select [If your thinking of leaving Virgin media] I did and am a happy bunny:D :user:

Be nice to them;)

When did you join them?

Because I have been with them for nearly 7 years and they have been consistently the worst company I have ever dealt with, and continue to be so.

I told them I wasn't happy, and I wasn't getting the correct speed, they told me I was and told me to bugger off.

Whenever I have had problems nobody - not even the engineers - have any idea what they are doing, and are unpleasent and surly.

Perhaps it is different for newer customers.

But honestly they have been the worst company I have ever dealt with by far.

nb: I pay £80 p/m for 2mb (should be 4) cable, tv and phone.

Appaling.

Been with Pipex for just over 3 years - not the cheapest but absolutely no problems at all. Occasionally I have had to call their tech support and they have been most helpful. There have been a couple of glitches with the direct debit payments but nothing too earth shattering.

I have rated them 'excellent'.

Love

Gabs xx

so much for never having any problems

was just disconnected from the net and only allowed to got the the plusnet site which was saying i hadn't paid my bill!?, it gave me 2 options 'pay by CC' or 'change details', rang the CC company and found the balance was 0 so clicked pay and all is good

not the best way to handle things imo, i couldn't do anything other than look at this page, couldn't even go to the contact us pages or email account, how they F**ked it up i dont know, been using that card since the begining

bit annoyed but it took ~10 secs from clicking pay to being back up and running

Hi.

I`m with both beeb and AOL.AOL for my broard band and beeb for dail up.
Was with Demon for a time.I can`t remember why i left it,but when I wanted help
they were very good. Now I have AOL. Been with them for about eleven months.it`s only 1mb
at the moment they have said that it will increase to 2mb in August/September.But even if they do,
1mb is fast up against dail up.As for sevice, they have been great-----so far.

Average, my ISP can go up to 6Mbs, but it costs. So I use about 2Mbs. and its fast enough for me.

Same here with Virgin Media - 4MBit. Overall a good service. Quick download speeds, thing is during peak times they tend to chop down your limit a bit. I don't do much downloading anyway ,only demo's / streaming videos from Gamespot which are located in the US anyhoo.

I voted Poor, of course. I'm with Virgin Media.
I don't like their customer service (they're useless {i.e. not helpful}), their actual Internet service is pretty ...hit and miss when it comes to speeds, and their "perks" are crap ...can't even sign into the Broadband Area.
