folks into the registry to root around that way..
It's chancey, alright; and not something I'd want to advise for anyone
else, either. At this point, though, I'm now wondering if the whole
problem could have been averted if I'd used the
"Msiexec /x {A5CC2A09-E9D3-49EC-923D-03874BBD4C2C}" command in Run
in order to remove the signatures *before* I uninstalled the Windows
Defender itself . . . ? Just a thought, but something I might want to
try if (when) I next uninstall my WD.
