I was referring to the red cables that have black connectors on each end
(as supplied with an Abit IP35Pro MB), but to answer your question....
the Abit IP35Pro that I have a Q6600 on has "6 x SATA 3Gb/s" [1] and has
black connectors on the MB as can be seen in the picture on the Abit
website [2].

Yea, and that's why the OP had to ask this question in the first place.
Because no one is following standardization as they should be. The
majority of SATAII cables are red because that is the standardization
color so as not to confuse customers when you connect it to the red
connector on the mb. Any mb I have bought came with red cables and red
connectors on the mb for SATAII. It doesn't mean I am wrong just because
manufacturers choose not to follow that standardization.

So far, the only thing you're proving is that you're a moron.

A moron is someone who thinks it's cool to post peoples header info. I
think most people here already know *you* are a moron though so no real
need for me to point it out.

When you get to be eight, you'll learn about contractions. The words "you
are" can be written as "you're". Using "your" is just illiterate.

Go ask your parents if you don't believe me.

Weak, oh so very weak.

Ya know, I think you're about to be dope slapped from one side of
Usenet to the other by folks who enjoy doing it and have had years of
practice at it.

Enjoy your education.

Bill

No one dope slams me. I've been on Usenet for about 15 years and have
become a master troll.
