How to PREVENT Paint from expanding when pasting?

Whatever...but it seems you are doing a lot of work to obtain
the result you want. Using an older version of Corel's
PhotoPaint, I can achieve the same result in a fraction of the
time that it must be taking you. Oh well, different strokes...as
they say.

Best of luck with your new/old Paint pgm.

Don't know how long Corel would take.

Let's see. using Paint...
Open Paint 1 second
ctrl-v 1 second
move around until happy 1 to 5 seconds
SAVE & close 1 second

Open using WinXP 1 second
click on print
click on
click on
click on
[ah, now you may have me. This WinXP is doggy when it comes to
printing an image, but in deference is pretty good about printing
wasted copies]

Corel's PhotoShop is $69.99 same price as dom perignon
Let's see....dom perignon versus Corel's PhotoShop, or keep Paint?
Paint is FREE
Corel loses.
