BTW El Chibo--

Whatever source gave you your info you related in your post--lose it.

There is no difference in the license between XP Home and XP Pro, and it's
once dance card for one XP OS or Vista OS.

With Office, you are allowed a desktop and a laptop.

What if I carry a second desktop around with me and use it in my lap. Would
that qualify as a laptop?

Actually you should balance the PC closer to your knees because the EULA
doesn't mention installing an OS on a Kneetop!

On that note, Apple refused to call my MacBook Pro a "laptop" computer
(Apple Support insists it a "notebook")because of the now-famous heating
problem and had a disclaimer that came with the machine that usage on a lap
could cause "discomfort." I considered letting my MacBook Pro double as my
waffle iron until they fixed the problem. (Apple also said that any core
temp less than 100C was within factory specs for an Intel Core Duo cpu.)

Your post is unclear. You bought what? And what won't update? Also don't
post a new question as a reply to someone else's thread. Create a new
message with your issue and include relevant information. Review this link
on making a good newsgroup post and resubmit as a new question.

My XP Pro won't update either.

And my car won't change its oil.

I'll have to either do them both myself or pay someone to do them for me.
