how do I measure the lenght of a line in powerpoint?

Is it a line you did draw from the shapes in Powerpoint? Than doubleclick it
and look at the tab "size".

Another method to measure something is with the drawing guides:
- right click on the slide and chose "Grid and Guides"
- active "Display drawing guides on screen"
- drag the guide to the beginning of your line
- press the Shift-key, hold it down and drag the guide to the end of the
line
- take a pencil and write down the figure you see... yes, that is a bit
difficult when pressing Shift with the left hand and holding down the
mousekey with the right hand.... maybe it's easier to learn the figure by
heart.
