How do i get rid of EETU.exe and all of it's registry entries

I don't know about al of this bickering about where and how I should
post HJT logs, but I do know this: Someone suggested that I install
Super AdBlocker and I found this program to be useless. It did nothing
moer than SpyBot and Addaware, in addition when I restarted my
computer it was extremely slow, unitl I got rid of the program.
Removed it and now it runs okay.

Still not sure what to do about EETU. Maybe I will simply reformat the
drive and reinstall XP. It's a major pain, but it should get rid of
EETU

The Expert forums that I posted are THE place to post the logs.
Not here, not ever.

You are infested with multiple forms of malware.

Before I suggested SuperAdBlocker I suggested my Multi AV Scanning Tool. It would have
cleaned many of the Trojans that you are infected with. You chose not to do so.

If you choose to wipe the hard disk and re-install, that's your choice.

However, I *strongly* urge you to do the following.

1. Run the Multi AV Scanning tool I originally suggested to you in my first reply. At
the minimum use the McAfee and Sophos modules.

2. Using HJT v1.99.1

I decide who I want to killfile, not you.....and I choose to watch you try
and mislead people with your plagiarized programs!!

FYI....I do not know Leythos, but I would believe him (or anyone) over you.

there's nothing in the charter about pictures of my pasty white ass
either, but you don't see me posting any... the charter could not
possibly have been written in such a way that it could take all future
possibilities into account...

what is or is not acceptable is a function of the participants of the
group, not the charter, as it is the participants who have to do the
accepting...
If you or anybody does not want to see them then don't look at
it, nobody is forcing you. Although somebody should force you to use your
shift or caps lock key.

bite me...

it's simple - there is only one person who thinks you should post them
here... interpret that as you wish...

Does Running the Scaning Tool get rid of the Malware? I downloaded it
and started to run the software. It is very confusing as to what it is
doing. Do i get some sort of scan report to then post to a forum?

Heather

I'm getting lost. Who is the one who has plagiarized programs.
I'm not sure whats going one here.

I'm just trying to get rid of the crappy malware that my 15 year old
daughter seemed to find with her Itunes or whatever the hell installed
the virus

Sorry you got caught up in the middle of this hooha with pcbutts....but he
appropriates programs without permission and is thoroughly disliked by any
honest person....of which there are many on this news group.

Follow the advice of David and others who advised you to run the latest
HiJack This and follow the instructions and put it on one of the SpyForums
for analysis. I do have instructions here if you are not quite sure of how
to do this.

I doubt it was iTunes because that is a Mac program.....didn't you mention
somewhere that it could be Limewire or Kazaa?? If so, trust me, they are
full of viruses. What does your antivirus say?? You can also go to an
online virus scanner such as Trend Housecall and scan your computer.

But try the HiJack This Log on a proper Spyware Forum....I can see things in
your Log that shouldn't be there.....but I am in no way a spyware expert,
nor is PC Butts. The name alone should give you a clue, grin.

Best....Heather
(and let me know if you want those HiJack instructions...I am including a
link to Tom Coyote's site so you can read his....

There is nothing in the charter prohibiting HJT logs therefore they are
acceptable.

must there always be a special "charter" to do things intelligently?
Please first think about practizing a more better/considerate (NG-)
usenet behavior. THX in advance for your kind understanding.

pcbutts1 is systematically posting to every major security-minded newsgroup
in the English-speaking world - despite the requests not to do so from all
highly-respected and long time regulars of such groups - clogging them but
more specifically their abilities to search therein, with hijackthis logs.

Regular, expert responders to newsgroup requests for assistance universally
desire that, before posting a question, a person searches the archives to
see if the question has already been answered. Many expert responders became
such, partly as a result of doing such searches themselves. Post hijackthis
logs and it soon becomes next to impossible to make searches based on
extrapolations, lateral thinking, or plain inexperience, because the
majority of results will be worthless, because every startup and run
location and item is listed over and over and over in post after irrelevent
post. The majority - thanks to pcbutts1 - give up searching, just as you
would if you'd been seeking to find the answer yourself. The newsgroup no
longer operates as efficiently as it did and fewer and fewer new expert
responders are likely to emerge.

pcbutts1 knows this is the effect and responds to requests (which inevitably
become criticism, then outrage) *not* to ask for hijackthis logs to be sent
*other than to forums specifically dedicated for such*, with an astonishing
degree of disregard for the opinion of others considerably more helpful and
considerably more expert than pcbutts1.

That disregard largely consists of, for example, telling people to '****
off' and calling females 'bitch'. There is no possible way that pcbutts1
could be acting from the goodness of his heart - he is a very nasty
individual and totally self-centered.

As we are talking about the diminished effectiveness of potentially every
security-minded newsgroup in the English-speaking world being compromised,
by someone who claims high intelligence, we must consider the possibility
that pcbutts1 has a criminal intent. If a person fails to see this, that
person cannot appreciate the incredible importance of the personal computer,
the internet, and the security of such, to the modern, English-speaking
world. When one does, one must assume that the reduction in it's
effectiveness is intentional and that only an insane person or a criminal
would attempt such.

One wonders what illicit endeavor pcbutts1 might make more likely to go
undetected by generally decreasing computer security? One would suppose it
would be the increased likelihood of trojans to go undetected. But
personally I think pcbutts1 is exactly the kind of sociopath/psychopath who
would ultimately come to something like attempting to assassinate the
President.

Each anti virus module will generate a log of what was found.

Everything is automated. Except for the Trend module, which is a GUI utility, each module
will download the needed files, then ask you if you want to perform a scan. Click on "Yes".
It will then query you if you want to scan a particular location, click on "No" and a full
scan of all hard disks will be performed.

Please read the included PDF Help File.

I have restored the relevant cite. Please learn to quote in context.

If a search is carried out in this group only, or a limited set of
Usenet newsgroups from Google Groups, then web forums will obviously
not be included.

You don't know how to use Google to search individual news groups?

Ah! I see. You don't understand the point.

If you're not imtelligent enough, stop arguing that you are.

Tell it to the agency, shit-for-brains.

You got some proving to do, sonny.
