In MY CALENDARS I have HotMail calendar I wish to delete completely. How do
I do that?

Do you have a hotmail account in your profile and use the outlook connector
to connect to it? If so, you can't delete the calendar. You can make a new
group, move the calendar to it and then collapse the group.

I've made the new group, but can't figure out how to move the calander to it.

Awfully sorry, but I am completely new to WIN Vista and Outlook. Before I
can "drag" the calendar I want to delete I need to know how to
locate/view/access/? the new Group I made, and I can't figure out how to do
that. And, please don't be too hard on me, but I didn't write down what I
named the Group and can't remember.

As you have probably already recognized, assume I know nothing.

It should be the group without the little down arrows on the right. Select,
right click an drag the calendars to the new group.

See http://www.slipstick.com/Tutorials/navgroup/navgroup.htm if you need to
'see' how to do it.

I have managed to drage the HotMail calendar to a new group, but when I right
click on the group and select Remove Group it tells me I do not have the
permission to delete it.

You can't remove it (unless you remove the hotmail acct from your profile) -
only move it to a new group then collapse the group so you can't see it.

I had the same problem.. I "discovered" this method (it doesn't delete the
hotmail calendar but it "removes" to who knows where, not me):
hover over the hotmail calendar, right-click, choose "remove from my
calendars".
An important note .. I wouldnt experiment with this on any calendar you dont
want to loose, since I at least would not know how to recover it.

In the case of the hotmail calendar, it just removes it from the Navigation
pane. If you look in the folder list, it should still be there.
