My Mum has started recycling water by using the washing up water on the flowers & plants.
Water butts are selling fast in the South East & London and rain looks a long way off. But the main reason the South has less water is mainly due to the large amount of new houses being built, about 5 miles from my parents they have just built over 3 thousand new homes with another possible 2 thousand on the way!!

We've got one of those toilet things that you stick in the tank to use less water - they should do what the Aussies do and have 2 buttons on it for different flush powers!

I'm not

I live on my own and get ripped off as it is. Thing is they know i'm paying too much. Going on a meter soon, even that is upto my landlord if he refuses a meter on his property then i'm gonna reduce my direct debit payments myself

Ive had enuff

and dont be forgetting that Buncefield petrol depot disaster

some twat there probably decided to do something malicious or light up a cigarette!!!
and its because of that twat that we have this drought order
it certainly did not help our cause!

can u imagine the size of that fire?
and imagine how many litres of water they used on that fire
it took DAYS and DAYS to get it out!

but now we will never find the culprit
i will always beleive that there was someone somwhere in the wrong no matter what!

I am definetly very frustrated about this
its so bloddy hard using a watering can in the garden
and wtf wants to wash their car with only a bucket of water!

be warned my friends stock up on big bottles on water
while stocks last we could be heading for a total shut down in the near future

*******arghhhhhhhhhh HUMBUG!!!*****

well i havent had a shower in 3 days and dont wash my car with the hose (that ofen) any more...

I still think its up to the water companies to sort out leaks and fix infrastructres first before fining people who want to keep their pride and joy (cars...) clean.

five hundred thousand litres...

Thats enough for like... ever! No wonder theres a drought! He filled his tank up!

Not when you have to water your crops it's not:(
I have my water on a meter so i get charged to fill it, but it's used as a reserve just in case we run out.

What drought

Just had a torrential downpour with Thunder and Lightening...we have had plenty of rain lately...desperation stakes have not hit yet so am using water as usual :)

Hot weather

Aye, bloody tough us southerners, aye we can go weeks with nowt rain we can. Aye railway lines buckle, tarmac melts, hose pipe bans, aye it's tough down south, but we can cope cos we is ard.

Well after my little rant there sorry if i offend anyone, to be honest i'm peed off with the hot weather, bloody thames water seem to loose nearly a million litres of water a day through bursts!

Why do the rails buckle & tarmac melts, does this happen in Asia or in Aussie, no it bloody does not!

Hose pipe bans, we should conserve water better, have underground reservoirs & stop the bloody leaks you complete and utter bar-stewards, i would love some rain or even go back to slighly less heat. Sleeping at night is a nightmare so hot and sticky. The grass has turned brown.

Sorry for my rant, now sitting here with a bowl of carmel ice cream, to hell with my diet:D
