Me likes, me uses it from now, me thank you. :)

Very nice,... seems stable...
but lettertype is a bit to small on a 19 inch screen at 1280 / 1024
Looks more or less ok on a 17 inch 1024 / 768 screen.. still a bit to
small to my taste....

But the look & feel are awesome,... as a tool I'll try it out and
probably promote it... thanx..seems a fine job...

Do provide to auto place a desktop icon for less experienced users.

If you make a floating tab on the desktop, the font
option is enabled and the point size can be increased.
I can only assume that the dis-abling of the font
option in a standard tab is a bug which will probably
be fixed in future versions. I like it the best of
the sticky note utilities which I have tried.

Yea, those Small Fonts suck. Try FixedSys or Tahoma 10pt.

If you choose "Custom" for "Colors & Fonts" you can change the font to
whatever you want.

I think you should check out MemPad by Horst Schaeffer
http://home.mnet-online.de/horst.muc/
Using TinyResMeter .95a it seemed to me that Mempad ran with no
perceptible use of Gdi resources and about 2% use of User & Sys .
the application you are talking about used quite a bit more memory.
about 9% of my GDI resources, and around 8% of the others.
No need to resize anything. Select colours and fonts .
Configurable menu. Drag the icon to your tray if you need it
there.
I needed 477k to run shirusu pad even with the .exe compressed with
upx.
The entire directory with some data files , help files, and
executable on my machine is ~108k. Much handier size for me.
I do continue to test Shirusu pad, but it does not seem as crisp on
my machine, even without the .exe compressed.

It can be inproved,.. but very original and definitely worth a try...

Can't find the option... so it's not obvious to find...

Lets say you have a note called "To Do". This name will
be on the bottom of the pane.
Put the mouse over the name "To Do", hold down the left
button and drag it to the centre of the desktop. This will
create a link to the note 'To Do".

On the side of the pane are two rectangular boxes. The
lower one should be settings. Click on this, then Font|Choose.
You can then select the pointsize for text in the link.

Hope this is clear.

It is mentioned in the Help File and described as a
"Cool Feature"

I just right click on the tray icon, choose colours and fonts, choose
custom and select my desired font size

I think this now works for all nodes

What OS are you using? I'm using Windows 98SE and
this feature is disabled. It may be an XP only
option.

XP pro

if you enable the tray icon, right click it, there are several tabs.
One is for visual options - this is where you can s[pecify the font.
etc

There is another tab, with transparency options etc - I think these ar
eXP specific - hopefully the first one isn't.

Let me know how you get on - good luck !

I guess I'm the only person here that can't get the URL-highlighting to
work ( the text does not highlight at all) I'm using Windows 98SE. Any
suggestions . Thanks.

Yes, I had tried what you describe and reported that the
fonts & colours option in the Visual Option are greyed out,
i.e. dis-abled.

I will try a few other things. Currently, I do not auto-start
it, but launch it from PowerPro. Maybe, it needs to start
when booting, or it may only work on XP.

Thanks for your help.

If doesn't work for me either on Windows 98SE. However,
reading the small print is more of an issue for me.
We'll have to upgrage Ron. <g>

Cheers

Peter, and others. I am using Win98SE and have no probs. What you need to
do is:

Right click on the Tray Icon and select Preferences.
Go to the tab Visual Options.
Under Colors & Fonts, select Custom from the drop down menu.
Now you are able to select the Elements whose colors and/or fonts you wish
to alter.

The key to all this of course, is that you must select the Custom option
first.
