Help! Need Calendar Software

I've tried using Calendar Creator 9, but there must be an easier way to
create calendars to print. Is there some good calendar software out there
someplace....freeware or otherwise?

That really is a good one. However, I really wish it would show the
phases of the moon too.

Try the web site http://www.timeanddate.com
Using it, you can create and print various calendars, for free.
The Year 2004 calendar I created has phases of the moon for
each month, and even lists holidays.
These are "text" calendars only.
If you want a fancy calendar with your own images on each page,
etc., this is not for you.

Thanks Glenn. However, what I'm looking for is something like this
shareware program (Almanac):

No adware, cdware, commercial software, crippleware, demoware,

Contains a calendar feature without additional purchase beyond
the $12.95. The Ulead product is top notch for graphic purposes.

http://www.ulead.com/pex/freeware.htm

There is a Photo Explorer that is freeware product on the site.
After a photo is selected in the thumbnail a calendar may be
created within the product also using the tool located under the
Tools in the menu.

Sharon,
Thanks, but this is a freeware newsgroup and suggesting commercial
software is off topic. And as my signature file (below) says, I'm not
looking for commercial software. Besides, if I wanted to pay for such
a program, I'd buy Almanac.

Unfortunately, that freeware version (6.0) doesn't seem to support the
calendar function. I downloaded it and the manual, and read through
the manual. No mention of the calendar feature.

"In Photo Explorer, you can make fun projects with your images. Create
slide shows with music to make your images look more interesting.
Decorate your Windows desktop by creating wallpapers using your
favorite images. More so, make your own screen savers."

I'm not willing to risk installing another image program, since they
are notorious for usurping file associations and otherwise screwing
things up. Thanks for trying though, Sharon. I'll keep looking.

The orginal request included the range "freeware or otherwise?" made
by Tull. I included his post in my follow-up post, and responded,
without holding true to the alt.comp.freeware purpose. My error.
I will attempt to behave in the future. Remind me if I slip.

Because of my usage of free & bundled Ulead product(s) including
the Photo Explorer I made the investment in the commercial line.
In a search online of the Freeware Explorer features I did locate a
review that correlated to my memory of the product calendar feature
in the free version.

Ulead Photo Explorer [Windows Only]
Ulead Photo Explorer is a free image viewer and browser with limited photo editing and photo sharing features. The Output HTML
Thumbnails command offers several options for generating customized index pages for your photo collections. There's also features
for creating Web slide shows, screen saver slide shows, calendars, and more.

(Apparently based on your personal review my memory and the product
review were in error. Thank you for the correction.)

I use most of the Ulead products provided at a commercial level because
they 'lack' the notorious "usurping & screwing things" up factor.
Preference settings handled those concern very nicely.

Sharon, I just got this little jewel in my spam dump from ULead:

"The freeware version of Ulead Photo Explorer 6.0 will not expire, but
it does contain banner ads and some limitations on its functions. Due
to a licensing agreement, the freeware version of Ulead Photo Explorer
6.0 does not support GIF files (including GIF animations) and
LZW-compressed TIFF files. The purchased and upgrade version of Ulead
Photo Explorer 8.0 includes support for these file formats."

As I said, this group is supposed to be for the discussion of
freeware. Adware is NOT freeware. Please try to stay on topic.

It was/is listed as FREEWARE in multiple locations. Staying ON
topic includes answering posts that are directed to me in the group.
Your post concerning the 'calendar' error failed to note that there
was an ad included in the product and you had a first hand view
of the product. I explained I was working from memory and a
a quick review of features search that agreed with my memory.

The defining of a product promoted as freeware and is in
reality Adware does not seem to be off topic to this poster. Thanks
again for your follow-up information.

My apologies. I presumed that you were recommending software that you
personally had used. Whenever I recommend software that I haven't
used, I try to mention that fact. No big deal though. Thanks for
trying to help anyway.

Many people in this NG do indeed consider Adware to be an acceptable
freeware variant, e.g. Opera, MailWasher, etc.; particularly when it
is identified as ad-supported freeware. This allows the reader to make
an informed choice.

I myself appreciate your post.

However Vic, she was directly talking to me and my signature file
(below) clearly states my preferences. To her credit though, I don't
believe that she was aware that the program was adware.

Thanks Vic. I will attempt to do my best in sharing the known
nature of the product included in a post in the future.

Then that means there is no way to limit the kinds of software that
are suggested as solutions to my needs. This means that I might as
well put the F.A.Q. back up and resume defending the definition of
freeware.

I am not clear as to why you feel your needs are not met. Posting
to multiple posters at one time is a common practice. The problem
happened when I was not aware the Ulead product contained an
ad somewhere within the content.

Does your copy contain additional information which was not

Just checking.
