FWIW my POV is that no question's stoopid.
Everybody needs help at some time and we're all at different levels of understanding.
Time was when I bought my first RAID board (an Abit K7 I think) I got in a right two and eight trying to set it up. So I joined a forum, and asked questions. Fortunately, I got help.
Those who ridicule what they see as simple questions are just smug, arrogant stupid idiots.
And likely as not just aged around 15 anyway. Sad but true.
I must admit sometimes having to hold back a smirk, a laugh or even just a broad smile when reading some questions but what the hell, I still try and help.
And I really think I don't know that much, just have about nine years accumulated knowledge of home computers, is all.
But I have read a lot of problems on forums everywhere and some of it must have stuck
That is what I like about this place, we don't seem to have any smug know-it-all gits, just a good core of folks who are willing to help.
Dang, this be getting too soppy, we'll be cueing the violins up next for one of them mushy Hollywood sentimental soundtracks.
But, you know what I mean, I think
