Actually, Folkert, I work over 100 hours a week.

Of those 100 hours, I *do* spend time going through various newsgroups.
It's a learning process - research, if you like. I pick up on what
people are saying about various products, and on many occasions I learn
interesting snippets.

The fact that you choose to twist everything everyone says to fit your
own, similarly twisted thought processes, is your problem. Hell,
someone could tell you the earth is round and, in keeping with your
obstinacy and arrogance, you would still argue to the contrary. It
seems you will not open your ears and eyes to what is going on around
you. You have your head buried in the sand, old boy.

And you *do* appear to have some sort of personal vendetta against a
number of people. If your life is so shallow that all you find
consolation in is antagonising others, then that's your problem. For
the rest of us "normal" people, life tends to go on as usual.

At least I know I genuinely do help people, which most certainly is not
the impression I get from you. Not that I'm a "goodie two shoes" by the
wildest stretch of the imagination - but at least I don't appear to be
hell-bent on destroying the usefulness of these groups.

I have to wonder why you even post on these groups. Is it some kind of
self-gratification thing with you? You usually don't have anything
useful (and less so anything constructive) to say, but rather you insist
on deriding others who *do* have valuable knowledge to impart. One of
the reasons for the existence of this group is to allow people to try to
help each other. I have rarely seen a post from you that genuinely fits
that criterion. Bit of an oxymoron, aren't you, Folkert?

My guess is some serious, untreated mental issues. It is about
power for him, helping people is not an issue he cares about.
You can also see it form the comments: Demonstration of his
superiour knowledge, but not enought to help, lest people could
raise to his level.

I have seen this in other people, some of them otherwise quite
smart.

In his case, because he is not too smart and knowledgeable, he
has to do something about other people with real knowledge,
because otherwise he does not look so hot at all. That is what
causes the personal vendattas: People that are more competent
threaten his self image of being an authority figure. I am sure
you have also noticed thet there are now whole 20+ posting threads
where he and some other people with similar issues just keep
fighting against each other. From the occasional time I browse
without filter I see that he spends a lot of time attacking me,
but that is really a loosing strategy for him, since I spend
almost no time on him. That also strengthens my believ that
he is not fighting me, but putting on a show in order to
convince others he is more competent than me.

The sad thing is, that instead of getting help and maybe
getting a more happy and satisfying life, he insists on
continuing to degrade the usefulness of this group. There
are enough first timers here that really need help. The do
not need the ego-show he does and often take some time to
identify it. I guess this is why he stays instead of looking
for greener pastures. Sort of an emotional vulture that preys
on the weak, i.e. those that have experiences some kind of
desaster recently.
