Check the motherboard documentation. Some BIOS versions have specific
settings that need to be used when both SATA and IDE drives are
present.
Temporarily disconnect the SATA drive, leaving the IDE drive by
itself. If the IDE drive is not bootable then boot your computer with
a bootable diskette or bootable CD and see if you can access the
contents of the IDE drive. That will tell you if the problem is with
the drive itself or with the dual SATA + IDE configuration settings.
