Make sure you haven't run out of space on your hard drive. If that's
not the case, see if the program sets aside temporary space. It could
that it defaults at, say, 30,000 KB and then doesn't make the room to
handle your file. You should be able to adjust that number, however.
Check your software manual. Finallym, you may not have enough RAM to
handle that large a file. You might need to increase your RAM a bit.

I suggested this, but Rod Speed has personally checked the drive (so he
claims) and it is not full and not fragmented.

Sorry about my typing; it was awful. I had some similar problems with
Photoshop 4.0, and it had to do with the temporary drive space
allocation. I simply expanded it and the problems went away.

Hello, "t1gercat",

Is the "temporary drive space" the same as "temporary Internet files"?
Or where would i find the "temporary drive space", and how
do i re-set it?

I suspect he really meant the paging file size.

Harry you are a lovely Bloke (or a Troll ?)
Nice to see someone in this group
who actually wants to get on & use his computer rather than fiddling with
it.

But I really don;'t think you have the sort of detailed knowledge to sort
this problem
& the creatures who do live here ain't really going to help.
I suggest you find some body with good computer knowledge to come & check
your machines.
You will likely go mad trying to get it sorted from us lot & our squabbles.

I don't think your graphics card is the problem - the problem is that the
CPU usage hits 100% when you try to save a large graphic from your software.
You need to give us a bit more information in order to help:

What graphics software are you running, that has the problems?
How much RAM and what CPU do you have (Right click My Computer and choose
'properties', then tell us what is under "Computer:")?
How much hard disk space do you have on the drive where you are saving your
pictures (Right click on the drive in explorer and choose properties, then
tell us the used space GB number and the free space GB number)?
