How do I remove Windows Vista, so that I can make a clean install of Windows
7. Does the removal of Windows Vista also removes Windows Mail and IT8? Do I
have anything (Antivirus or other software) at all left on the PC after
removal of the Windows?

If you do a clean install, it will erase EVERYTHING so back up your
data and be prepared to reinstall all your programs.

Presumably when you do a clean install (rather than the upgrade option) you
will get the opportunity to format the HDD.
If you do that you will have NOTHING remaining from Vista at all....

You don't remove Windows Vista first. You simply do a clean
installation of Windows 7; that will remove Windows Vista, and
everything else on the drive, for you.

Are you aware that Windows 7 is probably not available to you yet, and
won't be until October 22? What's available is a test version of it,
called Release Candidate.

As I said, it will format the drive and remove *everything* on it
(except for what is on another partition, if you have more than one
partition).

Since Windows 7 has been RTM, I wouldn't think the RC would be available
anymore.

It's going to OEMs and Microsoft Partners right now, and will be released to
MSDN and Tech Net August 6th.

When you remove Vista, you'll end up with a blank disk. I would wait
until you get the official W7 shipment in October. You can buy an
upgrade for $ 50 now (Premium, early bird special).

No you can't. That was a one-time SHORT-term offer that expired two
weeks or longer ago.

$150?

For Vista sp3?

LOL.

What in it that ain't in Vista?
Sounds like you lose more features than you gain.

Wow - $150. Isn't that most of your inheritance?

Duck said:
No, its a months salary for you.

My inheritance is quite substantial.

Since you are using Win7 for free, makes it like ubuntu.

Anyone can download Windows 7 for free you IDIOT. You are too stupid to
realize that! No wonder why you have to come up with some stupid story
about an inheritance. You couldn't keep a job if your life depended on it.

I know quite a few like yourself.

What non-point were you making?
Both are "free" software ... one will soon not be free, though.
Then you won't be able to afford it.

My clients pay for my software. I don't need to "afford" to purchase it.

Duck said:
Did they pay for Win7 and Avast?

If you haven't heard, Avast is FREE and currently Win7 is FREE. You
don't get out much do you?
What software?

Development software. SQL Server, Visual Studio, Windows XP, .etc......
Stuff like that.

And he's lying about his "clients" buying him software. He has no
clients.

Clients? ROTFLMAO. All he uses his computer for is playing games and
trolling newsgroups. He's never had a job that included "clients" and
software.

Wasn't that you taken down by the police when you were caught on "To
Catch A Predator"?
